HeritageThe Language of Pockets
How a small patch of fabric became the canvas for India's greatest stories — and why the pocket is the most intimate gallery in the world.

The studio is small. A single window lets in the kind of warm, golden light that photographers spend hours trying to recreate. On the desk, jars of pigment in colors that have names like poems: burnt sienna, raw umber, Indian yellow.
This is where Kissa's pocket stories begin.
Our artists don't work from templates. Each piece starts with research — into the folk tradition, the regional story, the historical figure or mythological character that will become the subject. Then come the sketches, dozens of them, each iteration bringing the character closer to the final vision.
